All my smoking companions have either been fired or are working from home today, so I’m literally standing alone outside singing that Summer Girls song out loud to myself.

I’m always surprised when people don’t want to be my friend.

The Borderlands series is kind of important? Like, they could’ve easily been such fuckboy games, but instead they have:

- Visibly disabled characters that are still shown to be important and badass
- Fat characters that are allowed to be happy with their bodies
- A mission that mocks the shit out of the idea of the “fake geek girl”
- An autistic character whose autism isn’t a punchline or a vague superpower
- A canonically bi male protagonist
- Tons and tons of gay NPCs
- Lesbians that aren’t meant to be sexy to straight guys or get killed off for shock value
- SO MUCH GAY, I cannot stress this enough

yeah borderlands totes could’ve been fuckboy games! yeah. totally couldve been games for male rape victims who’re brutally raped to the point where they usually sustain extreme internal damage!!!! mmhm. fuckboys. yeah

sorry for pointless rambling but

i hate this post simply for the that it praises borderlands

a game that was written by a 12 year old who has access to knowyourmeme.com

and these “x is so important because of (insert “progressive themes”) are obnoxious because i guarantee you it won’t change anything for borderlands to have it so its not “important”

it’s also a painfully unfunny mission with more Gearbox humor™

it’s insanely unsubtle and basically only serves for gearbox to suck their own “inclusive” dicks

The gameplay is boring and repetitive and it basically insists of nothing but fighting the same kinds of enemies just re-skinned

The characters are bland and every “funny” thing said by characters feels more like it’s gearbox writers saying it instead of the character so they can force in more shitty jokes,the jokes never build on anything,nor are they funny,and they give zero character because it never feels like it’s from the character it more feels like gearbox randomly gave a line of dialogue to a character for jokes

but yeah praise borderlands simply for having a “diverse” cast of characters and being “important” besides the fact that the game is completely forgettable

See, this is what I was talking about. But I guess now it’s hitting THAT part of tumblr and the floodgates are open. Sigh.

Let’s give this person the benefit of the doubt and assume that English is not their first language.
